Booked here for my daughters birthday and we were quite a large party. The portions were a good size, I would say too big for the children's meals (but some adults helped with those). Overall everyone was happy with the quality of the food. I can't remember the name of my meal but it was basically chicken pieces in a tomato base sauce. I found that the sauce was far too strong, almost like a tomato puree. I would go again but would order something different.
Had a Christmas staff do here, price point wasn't bad for a three course meal and the Christmas crackers were a pleasant touch. Nice decoration and decore inside. Food was ok and service alright. Plenty of parking outside. Would be good for couple and families too.
My partner and I went for dinner on Friday night as it was my birthday I had lasagne and it was not very nice, it was very dry and not very hot and the fries I think must have been reheated from lunch time as they where very hard, I must admit I have had two meals before and they where very nice. what a shame I do not think I would go back
I received my food with an added fly in my pot of chips. I took it up to the bar to complain and no apology was made although they said they would get a new pot for me. When the lady brought the pot over she joked and said that at least the fly hadn't been fried so it wasn't in the fryer. No apology, no offering of a free drink etc and no money taken off of the bill at the end. A real shame as I used to love the food here and enjoyed some of the beer festivals etc they put on but I refuse to spend anymore money here or at their other site.
This place is a bit out of the way but pleasant and the staff helpful...I am a Vegan.. and at least they had options...but sadly it was bland and had no flavours...the jacket potato tasted as if it had been heated up several times...However, my friend had a curry and it was lovely...Good spacious parking
