Very friendly atmosphere and a good selection of items on the menu. Very busy and short of staff when I was there, but the owner coped very well
Don't go here if in a hurry (as I did). I realise that everything is made to order, but that still wouldn't man a baked potato and a toastie takes over half an hour to arrive. One it did arrive, it was pretty good though.
If you like tea (or coffee) and cake, you must try Penelope's. The cakes are really good and food is freshly prepared. Nice, cosy, comfortable and tranquil. Really friendly staff and excellent service, made me feel like a regular on my first visit. Highly recommended.
