Went for a hearing test, staff very friendly
Went for contact lens trials, it was not made clear to me that the girl at the bottom was waiting for me so I sat for 20 minutes at the contact lens bay, the girl at the contact lens desk didnt bother to get up and ask me if I was waiting for an appointment with her, she just assumed I was waiting for an eye test I was sitting in the contact lens bay for so long, so you would expect her to ask!! when I did ask her she completely lacked any customer service skills, making me feel that there was no way I could sit and be shown by someone who had no peoples skills, particularly as I was nervous about having the trials. I walked out as I was so upset, and at no point has anyone called me to ask if I still want to go ahead with contact lenses.. Sometimes its worth paying a little extra to go to people who are properly trained and actually care. Your eyes are too important to leave to amateurs..
I've been using this branch for some years and it always strikes me as being very busy. There are always plenty of staff milling around so you are usually dealt with quickly. The optician service is very professional giving you that fuzzy feeling of being in a safe pair of hands. What I didn't like so much was the feeling of being on a conveyor belt. Having booked an appointment online I am greeted by a member of staff who taps on a computer and then leads me to the waiting area. After a few minutes another member of staff takes me to another area where they use machines to blow air into, photograph and generally measure my eyes. Back to the waiting area where after a while I am called in to the optician's room for the main event. That done I am handed on to another member of staff who shows me the frames and explains my options. Having chosen my frames I get taken to a desk where another person takes some fitting measurements and makes another appointment in two weeks to pick up my new glasses. Finally back to the tills where another staff member takes my hard earned cash. The follow up visit is a bit shorter. The greeter takes me to a desk where another member of staff checks, fits and cleans my new glasses. At that point you drop off the conveyor belt and make your way out of the store, trying not to bump into people on the way. Overall the product is good and the prices are competitive. I'll be Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Can't say nothing bad about these people. Nothing but awesome. So helpful polite efficient caring and professional. Thank you.
Almost certainly the most professional opticians I have been to. Despite the store being extremely busy and the staff obviously rushed off their feet, I was greeted and served impeccably. I bought some rimless Titanium Lite 48s supplied with a cool green AR coating....really really nice specs....Thanks to all at Dereham Specsavers
