Another good little wetherspoons pub. A little of the beaten track, but we'll worth the walk from the bus terminus just up the road. As always good beers and good food options.Staff are friendly and always cleaning up.Had a lovely breakfast, was piping hot and came out very quick indeed. Very busy as expected. Spoons is spoons. Like other spoons they have their flaws. Food is great for the price. All the burgers are very similar to each other but with different names. Drinks are great price. Never really had any issues with them.
Great base and reasonably priced hotel stay for 2 nights. Noisy on Saturday night outside from 1am onwards. We had room at front. Sunday night not a problem apart from occasional car. No noise from fellow guests. Pub itself is a typical wetherspoons very busy and a bit noisy on Saturday night but it is Christmas. Food and drink were absolutely fine and very reasonable.
It is great value for money for family meals and drinks too. Yes, mostly microwave heated meals or deep fried but you get what you pay for and this is very very reasonable and the staff are always very nice and helpful. Great place to eat with children of you can't afford to spend a fortune. A bigger vegetarian selection would be good.
Service is sometimes a bit slow but it is a very busy place. I'd recommend the app as it does speed things up, especially on a Friday night so there Is no long wait at the bar to be served. The food is well priced and tasty.
